Raising Funds

Our target is to raise approximately £600,000 for the new facilities and gain funds to support the costs to run activities and services to engage the whole community. In order to achieve this we have 3 main ways that we hope to secure the funds.

Grants and Funding

We are currently applying to a wide range of grants to secure the money we need to start building the new facilities these include Lottery, Sports Organisations, Local, Regional and Government Grants as well as local trust and organisations. So far we have received £2,880 from the Victory Housing Trust to support the continuation of the MYClub youth activities at the Church Rooms so we would like to thank them for their support.   We have also received funding from Playbuilder to redevelop our playarea on Gold Park.

Fundraising and Donations

Mundesley Youth and Community have an excellent team of fundraisers, that work very hard to organise, promote and run events within the local community. They are always looking for new volunteers or people that may like to hold an event to help raise funds. Belows shows some of the recent events and future events:

Recent Fundraising Events

2011 events have proved popular, the Marvellous Mundesley Village Fayre on 25th June was a great success raising approx £2,000 towards the skate park!

Other events including Auction night held by the Haig Club in Mundesley raised a whopping £1600, Easter Egg hunt on Gold Park was well attended and the hunt was enjoyed by all.  Spring Ball held at the Manor Hotel in Mundesley was a massive success and enjoyed by all, tickets were all sold out - may have to be repeated!

So far the various events have been organised or the group have attended other events to raise funds:  2010 saw popular events such as car wash, Easter Egg Hunt, Crab and Lobster Festival, Coffee mornings, excellent Village Fayre, Tea Dance and lots more!

 Launch of the Marvellous Mundesley Book. The book is full of stories, recipies and photos of Mundesley. The book is available to buy at just £3.50 from many Mundesley Shops or to order your copy click on Contact Us.  

Launch of the buy and decorate a Pebble. The Pebbles will feature in either the childrens play area or with the main facility. The Pebbles including decoration are just £5 and are available at any of our Fundraising events.
